  73. description of the package and its features, along with instructions for
  74. its installation.  Quite detailed documentation is included in the
  75. package, but it is in archived form, and is more easily read after
  76. installation.

  79. computer then PayWindow is the program for you...

  81. PayWindow is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes all
  82. features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may use it
  83. for up to 30 days, without charge (see README.TXT and PAYWIN.HLP for more
  84. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  85. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  86. ORDER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others (disk
  87. vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a fee for

  113. The installation procedure for PayWindow is quite simple.  The
  114. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  115. entire process.  You will need about 2MB of available disk space
  116. on the hard drive on which you plan to install PayWindow.
  117.  
  118. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  119. PayWindow.
  120.  
  121.  
  122. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  123.  
  124. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  125.  
  126.    o  Place PayWindow's distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  127.       appropriate diskette drive.
  128.  
  129.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  130.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  131.       in the Windows RUN command, "a:setup".
  132.  
  133.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  134.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  135.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  136.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  137.       the PayWindow files to that directory.  If you received PayWindow
  138.       on two diskettes, you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette
  139.       drive when asked to do so.  If you so direct it, the installation
  140.       program will install executable programs and documentation in
  141.       other directories of your choice.  It will make no other changes;
  142.       specifically, it will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys
  143.       files.

  146. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  147.  
  148. If you downloaded PayWindow from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  149. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  150. following steps.
  151.  
  152.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  153.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  154.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  155.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  156.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  157.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  158.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  159.       the package.
  160.  
  161.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  162.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  163.       the PayWindow package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the RUN
  164.       command in Windows, "c:\tempdir\setup".

  166.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  167.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  168.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The

  177. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed PayWindow

  184. in the new program group which have been installed.  In particular, read

  187. and will give you other information you need to properly evaluate
